Salem Burns Poem by Jaide Iris Lanzing

Salem Burns

Salem Burns

Burned at the stake I rise
severed from a nation where hatred lies
cut-throat epidemic
blood floods the streets
the foul stench of hypocrisy fills the air
SICK
I stand where you try to cut me down
you stand behind so called “righteousness”
well my blood runs as red as yours
just your excuse to start a war
Salem murder Burn to the ground
I stand where you try to cut me down
Crusade of Dissention where slaughter abides
killing is justified with kingdom ties
standing for harmony, peace and love
condescension and persecution
flies in the form of a dove
when you die, you fade, you are worth no more
all that’s left behind are the stains of war
those who have done no wrong
deserve to burn and die
because they don’t believe in a s***load of lies
pray for us… yeah pray for those
who aren’t as justified, as right as you
those who love and live and breathe the same air you do
but we’re messed up
because we don’t want “Jesus” to “save” us
or kill millions for the glory of Allah
SICK
smother reality Turn to insanity
blamed for being wrong in your eyes
you light me on fire
I will stand for the truth Stand with eyes alight
Where I burn
