Saint Katrin’s Expedition Versus Sexual Mentality Poem by nadia abduljabbar

Saint Katrin’s Expedition Versus Sexual Mentality

Until when many Arabs’
And Muslims’ thinking
Is confined with area
Under the built,
Until when some Muslims
Lower their religion
To just one
Of the instincts,
Until when we permit
Such a disgusting thing.

I am not against the instinct,
Who is against it? !
Yet to see it colouring
Everything in human
Life is just bizarre.

But I heard that some
Ignorant Muslims in Egypt
Were angry from the very
Idea of the expedition,
Under the name of religion.

Tourism is advisable in Islam,
To learn or even
To have fun;
What’s wrong with having
Fun to renew one’s
Ability to work and
Produce.

What is forbidden
Is that unmarried man
And woman stay alone
In a locked room,
But not a group of people
In an open space.

The picture of Young
Beautifully active Hager
Does not go away
From my inner eye,
Soon her memory
Will be like hay
In a summer day
Except to her family.

In the photo she was jogging,
She was open to life,
She wanted to discover
The beauty of her country.

What’s wrong with that,
But it is fate or destiny;
Its wisdom is hidden
From human beings.

Ice froze her active body,
And we can’t ask why,
Nor we can say
It was untimely death,
As some non Muslims say,
For everything is timed
By Allah or The Creator
Of the world fifty thousands
Years before the creation
Of mother EARTH.
