Sadness In Room Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Sadness In Room

Sadness in room

So she is called great
Who challenges fate
Brings back husband from the jaws of death God
And serves warning not to touch and make sad

Such is position
In relation
So far humanity is concerned
She is always cornered

As mother, she suffers a lot
But she is always caught
Between good man and devil
But her life is at somebody's will

So she has to share insult
When she is not confidently built
Against the death of child during pregnancy
Or rearing up of child after delivery

So many societies are against baby child
They want only son to be held
As an exclusive guardian of family
The baby girl is done away with miscarriage

So in all cases, the woman is sufferer
She remains only toy for pleasure
No one looks at her for gloom
She confines with sadness in room
