Sad Woman Poem by Marieta Maglas

Sad Woman

Rating: 5.0

If I opened my heart to show you
The love I could keep inside of me,
You will see there's something you can do,
And I would pray for you on my knee.

If you told me that you should leave me
And no longer should I wait for you,
I would tell you, 'I can't set you free,
'Cause for you was all I've tried to do.'

I cannot cope with sadness at night,
Although you had to follow your way.
My heart, once singing its songs of light,
Buries in melancholy, today.

I swim in my ocean of darkness.
I pray in my solitude, I'm pure.
I wait for you, my life is hopeless
I'm not able more woe to endure.
