Sad To See Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Sad To See

Sad to see

Easily we forget
Or don't know
Do not learn.

Years ago, not so long
Soviets fought a war
In cities of Afghans…

They bombed, killed, burned and raped
Most of them affected, influenced
Returned home as addicts and war sick
Or converts as Muslims...

West sat then, admired
Laughed to see Soviets as fallen

Ha, ha, ha

History repeated
Core always remains same
But faces on thrones and under
Keep the change…
