Sacrificial Love Poem by Ryan Lee Morris

Sacrificial Love

Staring into your blue pools of forever.
Looking deep into your soul.
Heaven has come to earth.
Your touch, like a warm summer breeze.
Filling my heart, making me want more.
Being without you is like a never ending drought.
Coarse sand blowing in my face.
Bringing tear to my eyes.
My heart once beating so loud, now wounded.
Deflating slowly like a tire leaking air.
It is almost flat.
It is like living in hell.
The fires of love once burning, now scorching my soul.
I wander like a nomad, my soul is now a gypsy.
Wandering the earth, reminiscing about home.
Home is you.
It is where my heart is.
You will never know the true feelings in my heart.
What you call expectations, I call hope.
If I gave you my heart, would you feel what I feel?
Would you then know what you mean to me?
I will hang on my cross.
I pray I will rise soon.
The pain is immense.
I hang on my cross for you until it is done.
My sacrifice.
Because you are worth it.
