Sacredly I Come Poem by Shannon Brown

Sacredly I Come

Sacred Rites and Sacred Passages,
These I've leared as a Child of the Goddess.

Solitare in Circle in meditative states,
Seeking the Elders Old Ways,
Wisdome, Knowledge as They open the gates.

My bloodline runs heavey of the Scottish-Irish Trads~
Lest I shall always include the depths of my bloodline
in the Cherokee, Native American side.

A Witch, I am, a sacred and blessed right,
Bestowed upon me by the Goddess on a Beltaine evenings night.

I honour my duties to thy Lady and thy Lord,
I shall hold true to thy Oath, thy Rune and thy Creed;
Defend the Earth, the lost, the unseen and the ones in need.

Thus far my path has seen much strife and commotion,
But the Goddess and God has shown me how to rise above it all,
through my love, dedication and devotion.

As now my path has reached a threshold,
Through the stone entrance, I can see the Goddess and God
waiting for me.
Tis the time for a journey that shall bring me many challanges,
I have been shown of the things to come.

I shall adorn myself with Their beauties and take each step over
gracefully one by one.

What an articulate way of conveying a very simple and strong sentiment. Nice work.
