Sabre Tooth Tigers Poem by Ashley Hawkes

Sabre Tooth Tigers

Rating: 5.0

Lie against his crumpled spirit luscious thing
And pour your deepened, treacle love
Over his quivering bod

His arms and chest the hardened earth
Your lungs the flirting winds
That give themselves to stillness

As his spirit snakes and ladders down
The black python of evolution
He is Adrian and he is watching out for Sabre Tooth Tigers
