Ruth And Naomi Poem by Rose Wilder

Ruth And Naomi

Ruth and Naomi were good friends
And this Ruth quickly proved.
They say Naomi lost her sons,
Besides her husband, too.

They say when she prepared to move
Back to her Judah home
She asked her daughters-in-law to leave
And let her go alone.

They say Ruth never wavered once,
Though Orpah finally left.
She told Naomi she'd come too
And stay with her `till death.

Naomi tried Ruth to persuade,
But finally gave in.
They climbed the mountains of Judah
And came to Bethlehem.
