Rush Poem by Nathan Beery

Rush

Falling from a ledge, with no end in sight
The air running by, like every moment of life
There's no pause, no moments still
Falling fast rushing past, everything else seems stagnant
And how to measure the moment?

In the water, waves crushing down
Starving you for breath, only seeking to rise out of this swelling mess.
Everything so heavy, pulling down whatever holds...
Right down to the depth

Running now, through the silent wood
Spears of light, piercing through
What's to be understood?

Every moment passes by, weather or not it's still
Caught in the rush, you can't stop
Pull through every second, and drive ever on
Even when your heart is crushed, or set alight
Even when your hopes turn to dust in a single night...
Keep moving, in the end all will be right.
