Running Brooks Poem by Shameem Khan

Running Brooks

Running brooks
in the garden nooks
the birds are flying to the rooks
the fisherman catches fish with the hooks
the child with bewilderment looks
he is on tenter-hooks
is hurt when the fish is grilled by the cooks
to them shows disgust with bitter looks
wants the fish to be put back in the brooks
calls the fisherman dirty crooks
