Running Poem by Emma Litchfield

Running

Rating: 4.0

Im running into blackness
Im running into light
Running, Running, Running
My legs ache
My lungs are sore
The cold whips me with its power
Faster, Faster, Faster
I cant feel my lungs
My legs are on fire
Running, Running, Running
Through deserts, Through storms
Through forest, and more
Faster, Faster, Faster

I see this as a metaphor for life. On a more literal level, as a long distance runner, I can associate closely with the words.
