Running Poem by Brandon Lucero

Running

Hearts are beating
don't you cry
darling don't you cry

The city's seething
you know I need you now
darling I need you now

Morning comes and I'm running
so far away
it's stunning

Don't you cry
darling don't you cry

Walked a thousand miles
just to see your face
I cried so hard
when we embraced

Don't you cry
you know I need you now

Strength of your heart
sustained my steps
in your arms
I finally slept

The city's zooming
love so unassuming
unconditionally looming
darling don't you cry
I'll see you there
