Runaway Poem by Robert Mahoney

Runaway

Drastic times call for drastic measures
And you know you gotta get away
You know the risks and you know the dangers
But you’re gonna do it anyway

Just face it, face it, face it
You can’t take it, take it, take it
You think you gotta runaway
You think you gotta runaway

Rules and regulations bombard you like a fire
You are so sick of all this sh*t
You’ve got the motivation and you’ve got the desire
To reach the end of all of this

Just face it, face it, face it
You can’t take it, take it, take it
You think you gotta runaway
You think you gotta runaway

Never mind your family
You never cared for what they think
You don’t care who you may hurt
All you care for is yourself
And you’ve got to get away
You know you’ve got to escape

Just face it, face it, face it
You can’t take it, take it, take it
You think you gotta runaway
You think you gotta runaway
