Run Away Cells Poem by Manonton Dalan

Run Away Cells

unfounded fears spring
as i blend with darkness
barefoot marching muddy path
cloak by drooping branches
stepping puddles making noise
driving away territorial creatures
by light of pretty fading stars
and thought of having mission
inside me boiling with desire
to save a life so dear to me
i would be lost without

i did my part but not enough
to pull from tight grip of dust
left me wandering on foothills
clueless, chasing darting beaks
launching unforgiving marbles
touch of feathers is simple lust
but for a kid, emotional peaks
that brings cheers and laughs

now, i know it’s losing effort
but i’m still here trying to help
how much more of this episode
will come to this withering root
to be wipe out never understood

… for my sister
” i love you”
