Run Poem by Emily Slm

This poem was inspired by a birth defect I have. It applies pressure on my heart and lungs, making it hard to breath. Lots of people say, 'that doesn't sound too bad' well, muscles need oxygen to function. and breathing supplies oxygen. this results in an athletic disadvantage, but because I'm only eleven, my birth defect doesn't excuse me from PE. Therefore, i wrote this poem to symbolize the amount of effort into a simple jog across the vast playground.
