Rules, Rules Poem by Harlan Simantel

Rules, Rules

restrictive needless rules
seem to be for rigid fools

do this
don't do that
straight jacket
inhibition
like boxing up a house cat

follow inspiration
rather than rigid rules
for a better self creation

God wants me free
to be naturally me
doing well
avoiding a narrow-minded hell

we're free to choose
not bound by convention
where the Spirit of the Lord is - freedom
Jesus' always intention
