Ruins Of Fear Poem by Godfrey Morris

Ruins Of Fear

Rating: 5.0

Fear is a cage
that bounds greatness.
Fear is the murderous monster
guarding an unknown orchard.

A distraction that wards away
the desires of the heart.
A potion that keeps you still
from dreams.
Especially when close.
Then in an instance she eludes you
to confuse you.

Fear a phantom that chases away
the fruits of the heart desire
But today I swear;
I'm putting on my fire.

An insightful depiction of fear as a conglomeration of sinister shadows without substance. Focused and factual. Thanks for sharing Godfrey and do remain blessed.
