Rugged Hearts Poem by Hamza Al Saieedy

Rugged Hearts

O! Do they want me to be named aptly?
As the lion rough in hand and poetry!
No! Rugged hearts are far from virility,
And rough i'm not, though they want me to be!
Although close i was from that, I loved Thee.
Even if you're a dream and far from reality,
Even if 'choose' they say between us or she!
Filled with hate and anger, their hearts can't see
That i'm different, but I love my country,
All of it from the mountains to the sea
Every river, stream, land, rock or tree.
Jealous! I'd fight the air for my lady
The world, the time and the fear in me!
Departed by faith, the future had flee,
Lost and gray! but you still my destiny..
