Rose Petals Poem by Juan Olivarez

Rose Petals

Rose petals on the ground,
A magic carpet fit for a king.
Falling in the wind without a sound,
Fluttering down like tiny wings.

A multicolored path to tread,
Rose petals line the garden walk.
How could a heart ever be sad,
Why open your mouth to talk.

Rose petals like gentle rain,
Are falling with the Autumn breeze.
Chasing away all sorrow and pain,
Putting lonely hearts at ease.
