Rose Petal Lips Poem by Samantha Campbell

Rose Petal Lips

As lips
enclose
around
each other
forming
the buds
of a rose

So Rare
So Beautiful
So Pure

Bathed beneath
suns gold balm

Roots buried
in deeper realms

Tangled
Twisted
together
un-parting

We spoke the words
wrapped lip upon lip
for a feverish kiss

Rolling around
in circles
licked wet

I'll bend the
Orion stars

And twist
the fall skies

To shape your
virgin eyes

And sketch
a valley of flowers
to farm your
rose petal lips
