Rosa Parks - Poem by AaI Harvey

Rosa Parks.

Rosa Parks, Rosa Parks; I’m in love with Rosa Parks.
Rosa Parks, Rosa Parks; I’m in love with Rosa Parks.
Let me illuminate you all and bring you out of the dark.
Rosa Parks was the one who refused to sit at the back of the bus; ha, ha.

Rosa Parks; the revolutionary! Rosa Parks to me is legendary.
Rosa Parks refused to move to the back of the bus. “Screw you! ”
“But, but; we’ve segregated you a section at the back lady!
You can’t sit with whites, oh my word, what will we do? ”

“This seat is for whites.” No it’s for anyone who wants it
And this is the seat in which Rosa Parks decided to sit.
I now sit at the back of the bus happily my friends,
Because I’m an Asian, Black, White guy because all labels are irrelevant.

Equal rights isn’t a compromise or partial allowance,
It means everyone is equal, human being with no difference.
It means you can’t judge me because of the colour of my skin,
I could be white, black, blue, green, pink, orange or anything.

Equal rights means we are all the same, not slightly different;
It isn’t one law for one and one law for another. It’s a precedent.
It’s the way of the future, in the end we are human, man.
So please understand its ‘equal’ rights; it’s a master plan.

Rosa Parks; Rosa Parks. I will sing her name like a beautiful lark.
Rosa Parks; Rosa Parks. I am slightly ignorant and in the shadows, not the dark.
I know a little and will never know enough;
All I know is we are all equal…to me that is love.

    Hi beautiful tribute to one of the most courageous women ever to set foot on the planet Earth. Rosa Parks was a symbol of human dignity. Recall that her courageous act of refusal to give up her seat in the bus, gave birth to Martin Luther King prominence. A love poem indeed. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
