In this ever expanding universe that constantly surprises us
We gently glide through a crack in a corner rooted to a platform of dust
Though some have jumped this organic and potential paradise of a planet
We have yet to escape this small town we call our solar system
Like children who have yet to leave the comfort and shelter of home
Just like children and all the same in our arrogance
Pointlessly bickering amongst each other
You would think that a few thousand years would be time enough to grow
You would be wrong
