Rolling Hills And Mirror Lake Poem by Marilyn Lott

Rolling Hills And Mirror Lake

It was a picture perfect setting
I am sure you would find too
Rolling hills and a mirror lake
I would love to show it to you.

A cabin set ‘long side the lake
Well, it looked a little weary
Moss had gathered on its roof
But to me it was not dreary.

It had stories to tell I am sure
About families or perhaps alone
A man and his dog lived within
By the fire the dog gnawed on a bone.

But you know, my friend, I truly felt
The beauty was so intense
It nearly took my breath away
Never saw anything like it since.
