Rocks On The Sand Poem by GORDON BUTCHERS

Rocks On The Sand

To them so many years have passed,
With all the things that don't last.

The love that has gone with each day
Like the sand on the shore
Gets washed away.

The secrets in time only they know,
Lying on the shore
With no-where to go,

The sun comes up and burns them dry,
Shining bright
Out in a clear blue sky.

How much I love you
They don't understand,
For they are just rocks
Amongst the sand.
