Rock To Cloud Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Rock To Cloud

By cold by heat
By Sun by wind
Rock was cut off
Fell down of top
It rolled the side
In current, mud
Low lands, stop
Dam, it became
Down the rivers
A cascades’ fall
Cut in and dyed
In stone’s heart
Deep hole drilled
The rock is killed
Birds seeking hay
To set their nest
Saw rock as wood
Water passed too
Respect vanished
It heard them say
“Worthless, a nay”

Rock turned stone
Empty it felt
Shattered
To sand
Rolled
Went
And
Went
Stunned
Furthered distance
In horizon, into the seas

Riding the waves; became cloud. As part of souls hanging around, it went and went to see it all.
