Rock Mwatate Poem by Elias Ng'ang'a K.

Rock Mwatate

Rock mwatate

An indigenous enormous pillar
standing up for years
with confidence and excellence
in the midst of shrubs
where floods, stormy weather
sweeps away my village
and earthquakes brings unforgiving slides
to capsize the people
in the sea of times.
But Rock Mwatate, .stands
firm and fierce
never bowing down
to calamity
never wavering
Today, tomorrow
and the day after without
an Oscar Recognition.
