Rock Magpie’s Songs Poem by Ibnu Din Assingkiri

Rock Magpie’s Songs

Strong gripping claws cling
Hanged on a bamboo swing
A charming rock magpie
In a cage so beautiful
With lavish decorations -
It sang melodious songs
Soulful songs,
Songs of hope,
Pleading;
For her release.

A bird longs for the panorama of the sky. Inspite of all decorations and artificially induced comforts, it can hardly be happy inside a cage.. Still, in its melodies, there is hope and this hope makes the bird and all of us dream of sweet morrows! A simple lovely poem!

On one side the poem mentions about the artifact i.e. about the decorations. On the other it is about the actual misery and within that misery is the song of hope. This is not only about a bird. It applies widely. Nice Ibnu Din.
