Robin Poem by Danielle Mari Nidea

Robin

Robin, please look at me
Like how a cat sees mice.
For, despite needing water more,
Do they not taste that nice?

Robin, please sing to me
What you saw in my right palm.
For, despite having eyes myself,
Aren't yours a bit more calm?

Robin, please speak to me
Like how I speak to clouds.
For, despite having real live people,
Is it safe to trust the crowds?

Robin, please walk with me
To a painting made last night.
And perhaps maybe, just maybe,
I may no longer need to fight.
