Roaming The Night Poem by Cassie Heinz

Roaming The Night

Roaming the night
like a n owl
listening to
the wolves howl

I should be sleeping
I know that for sure
but its hard to sleep
when for nightmares, theres no cure

i watch you walk away
same thing each dream
you cant hear me calling
no matter how loud I scream

or can you hear me?
You just don't care?
you just keep walking
how is that fair?

You get in the cab
without looking back
when did your heart
turn into a hole made of black?

i dont miss you
not anymore
my feelings for you
were washed upon an empty shore
