Roadblocks Poem by Kent Krauss

Roadblocks

Traveling down a road where we find ourselves, we feel as if it might go on awhile
In the manner to which we are accustomed, at the same relative speed and style
With the occasional bump in the road, a small hole around which we must navigate
To avoid undue shaking or discomfort that inevitably happens in the bounds of fate
But along comes an obstacle too large to go around that effectively closes the road
Forcing you on a detour that will take you well out of your way, into an unfamiliar mode
That will cause you to have to rethink your plans, formulate a new strategy to succeed
But when you put your worry on hold, logically think it through, you find yourself equal to the need
