River Poem by yoonoos peerbocus

River

Rating: 4.5

As all matter attracts matter
so does my body all I meet
and along the bank of night and day
ferries in freight of foreign dust
which is not the me
such as I am now.the stream
cannot migrate me across years
to my source but as I sledge
slope-driven I bid my time
to sneak out of this aquatic body
to let the voice-like nothing
speak to me, of me and mine.

Yoonoos, I love the imaginative phrases in this poem. Not simply writing the expected but the unexpected and furthering depth in your poesy. A wonderful piece. Thanks so much for sharing, Greetings, Paul

Very deep, excuse the choice of words. it is a very emotive topic, and I think you have captured that sense in the imagery used :)

Journey of a river has always been a phusical, philosophical and socio-cultural life-line for human settlements across lands and ages. Beautifully portrayed. Thanks a lot for an amazing work. culture-cross, a model summit for man's world dream to become harmonious with all difference.

The cycle of a river is just like the cycle of life. Clouds rise from the seas and rain, giving water to rivers and fall back in the seas to rise again as clouds. The question arises whether we shall get another life like the clouds? Who knows? So let us be peaceful in our beliefs.
