Rite Of Passage Poem by Christopher James

Rite Of Passage

Respect is earned not given
Power and money are taken
Time is lost
Friends are lost
Find yourself don’t get engulfed with negativity
Immaculate conception the nativity
Christ was born the devil has sworn to steal kill and prey upon those who pray

I say don’t wait for the days last
Times past will return at last
House out of order await the innocent slaughter
Fatherless seeds with no daddy home in every ghetto zone
Our kids are prone to violence and hate

The fate of our daughters’ is RAPE
Rape of the mind body and soul
No future The stripper pole
with no goals

Our sons will shoot you or refuse to learn in school
We are raising a generation of fools
We've lost the right to pass
With no rite of passage.
