Rise Above You Poem by Selina Munsey

we all have our ups and downs
we all have our smiles
and our frowns
we have moment where we feel like prisoners
and ones where we think we should be wearing crowns

the people always watch
us fall to the ground
like the clouds
push the rain down

but later to realize
we rise back above the surface
and float above them
while they pretend not to notice

so remember next time
you watch me fall
i will always rise back above you
and you will be the one that is small
