My life was like a placid lake, dull and stale,
You threw a pebble of love to much of avail.
Ripples created one after the other to enliven,
A hope showed its face in your real concern.
Heart reverberated with joyous beats of love,
As if boon of happiness showered from above.
You do savor my well being my instincts tell,
Armor of your love guards me from every peril.
Ears eagerly wait for the sound of your footfalls,
Eyes long to see the gracious face which enthralls.
Happy to be enslaved but with your love to cherish.
Grant me no freedom ever would be my only wish.
You are a godsend in the life of such an unlucky,
Brought all sorts of brightness to lit my life murky.
Philosopher’s stone you are to make me fortunate,
By all means recovered me from such a morbid state.
