Rio Grande Poem by azmayu azmayu

Rio Grande

my rio grande
hearing you makes me calm
eternal stream from the north
down to the banks of the south

my rio grande, to cross wear me special boots
boots that never sinks a heart
boots that keep me sane and afloat

my rio grande
those were the days when i played
making sand castle by your bend
with dreams, in your kingdom that soon i'd rule

my rio grande
you made me miserable
destroyed and washed away my castle
made me miserable each day

wished we didn’t have to cross path
from the morning bell starts
to the last session being thought

my rio grande
how often I talked about you
back in the days old
