Rhyme Iii Poem by Christopher Teale

Rhyme Iii

A force like no other ovewhelmes my every sense,
Like fire burning in a dry forest
The world is suddenly colourful and intense
And I can only stare at best

What can it be? I ask myself
As I meditate on the fleeting existence of man
I empty every bookshelf
But cant find the answer I want

For the answer is already in my heart
Yet I quench it with every ounce of strength
For I fought it from the start
Yet now Im left without a breath

For its to great to be easily hidden
By any mortal on this Earth
Its Love that comes every time unbidden
And eventually in the heart gives birth
