Reverence
Silently sitting beside the bed
Was the darkness
Staring to his eyes; the rings of fire
Burning in devilish fever.
Saddened standing beside the window seal
Was a girl
Miles away looking at the burning stars
Wishing she could look after him in her arms tonight.
