Revenge Poem by Poras Sharma

Revenge

From the gallows of self confinement,
I witness your radiant face,
Seems, you were born with a silver spoon,
and I, being subjected to an innate disgrace,
But never for a while, I saw you lose your remarkable trait.

The false prudence on your face, plagues those around you,
The gaze in your eyes, is the synosore of women,
The swagger in your walk, akin to a knight in shining armour,
It seems like an omnipresent principle,
that a sophomore like you, would never lose.

And then there's someone like me,
universally crippled with doubts,
ridiculed and humiliated unteem times by your haughtiness,
where each day begins with new battle with self,
and at the end, my soul is subjected to lashes in hell.

But rest assured my friend,
For I know that this is a blatant lie,
Because one immortal moment, I know I'll bury your prudence in filth,
I ll turn your victory into an incessant failure,
your swagger will need croutches,

Silent like a predator,
I am awaiting my moment of reckoning,
While you revel in your five minutes of fame,
You thought you conquered the battle,
But victory is about attaining the final war, not trivial battles,

this worthless life may seem like a journey in solitude,
But still, I've an emotion,
that tangled in the vicious web of destiny,
my hope to stand tall and conquer is still alive.
with each passing day, the burning desire grows stronger,
provoking me to scale the unforeseen pinnacle.
