Returning To The Old House Poem by Justin Gildow

Returning To The Old House

Returning to the old house
The house that I lived at
For a few years that I remember
How could I forget
I can't forget

Flowers, bushes, and trees
They're there
When I remember as a child
They weren't there

The house is different now
Much has changed
Not much remains from the years
when I lived there

Emotions come at me
Some happy, some sad
But after so long
I'm back here
At the old house
The memories
Back then, and right now
I'll never forget
They'll be with me forever
