Resurgence
- - - - - - -
Survives now only one
Where living happily
Dwellers once were seen
All old familiar faces vanish
So do all old familiar places,
Temples and grand palaces
Short-lived are joys like the flash
Fleeting is life as the mists
Unto dust all towers and walls fall
At time's fateful call
All will get swept away
As dice with helpless mortals play
A long adieu!
To mother earth
To water my life
To wind my sire
To Robin my friend
Oh, my soul wants them again
Break chains to them gain
By merging in that sweet heaven
That all sustains
The Sun's sunbeams
The Moon's soft beams
And stars' gleam
And the grassy wood's dreams
They will come alive once again
In splendour with the touch of her fingers
Greater than before only with poetry sheen

Beautiful poem. Very true said, everything changes with the time.... Short-lived are joys like the flash... Everything is short lived and once again it will come back to life....Loved reading it.

Fleeting is life as the mists Unto dust all towers and walls fall Life on Earth is short lived. Even the mammoth structures will crumble and fall! But Nature renews life with greater vigour and the cycle of life continues! Great write!

Lovely poem. Seems to start on a gloomy note but gets more intense by every line with an optimistic note and ending with beautiful line of Nature's recreating power with ever new poetic sheen. Enjoyed the poem very much. Many thanks for stopping by my page.
