Restless Poem by Liilia Talts Morrison

Restless

His earthly way was rocky
the sun beat on his frame
he had to keep on walking
for 'restless' was his name

The flint and steel of living
cut deep into his days
he sang to keep from dying
and turned our hearts ablaze

His melodies eternal
live on though short his years
his voice is now enriching
the music of the spheres.
