Rest Poem by Kalee Skriver

Rest

As the suns last rays kiss my face,
I am bidden by a foreign race.
To calm and heal those broken wounds,
my heart is light as the Great Moon soothes,
'Lie down your weary head, ' he spoke to me,
'In the morning you will see'
I close my eyes and feel no more,
the pain inside that kept me sore.
I awake anew, with eyes alight,
my heart is finally in new flight.
I jump from my bed as the dawn bells toll,
I am again refreshed within my Soul.
