Response To 'I'M Going On Military Leave'

Rating: 3.0

Don’t you go and be a stranger,
Remember to stay away from danger,
However when entering the fray,
Be not afraid to lead the way.
You are tough and you are bright.
Don’t ever give up without a fight!

my mom might have given me this advice the FIRST time i told her i was getting married. :) how DOES one 'stay away from danger AND NOT give up without a fight? ? ? is that an oxymoron or somethin'? ? which reminds me. i'll tell ya a bit about my youth.: 1- i used to be a big boy. i mean about as big as an ox. 2- AND at school, everyone, including the teachers, called me Oxymoron. 3- i was happy to be so popular! bri :)

i guess there is a poem entitled I'm Going On Military Leave, to which you are responding. i don't have time now to check on that, as my wife will soon be in the room to take over HER computer for the night. i like the poem and the rhymes! thanks for sharing. bri :)
