Reservation
General goes to fight
The adversities of life
Along with the solders
Half is retarded
Other half is handicapped
Selected on the basis of bribe
Humiliated and badly wounded in the war
Rushes to the doctor
He gets a wrong treatment
As he was there on the basis of reservation
He puts a complain
To the committee
Of justice and compensation
He finds to his utter dismay
All the members are there
Chosen on the basis of caste and nepotism.

We talk about social equality and justice but can it be at the cost of merit. Won't it sow the seeds of latent revolution. Basic reservations in every field has been guaranteed by the constitution of India which never mentioned merit to be sacrificed for appeasing some communities for vote politics. A very hard hitting poem..
