Repeated Splendor Poem by Billy Thompson

Repeated Splendor

Love is a many-splendored thing
Nonexistent at times
As well as constant and smothering

Love is a many-splendored thing
Hot to the touch
Giving pause to shout and sing

Love is a many-splendored thing
Cold and callous
Making you wish it were only a dream

Love is a many-splendored thing
Moving to and fro
Causing many bells to ring

Love is a many-splendored thing
Angry for the pain
Conscious of the hurtful sting

Love is a many-splendored thing
Reaching heights unknown
Making wintry winds feel like spring

Love is a many-splendored thing

A wonderful song, sung from within the heart's truth.
