Renewal Of A Wedding Vow Poem by Don Nguyen

Renewal Of A Wedding Vow

In the presence of the Almighty God,
who once had bound us together,
as man and wife, forever,
I now solemnly promise
To return to you, my sweetheart,
for your most beloved precious love;
I offer you my heart.
And for it is deemed unmatched inadequate to your most immense boundless love,
I now offer you back,
Your own heart your love which is now presented to me;
For in future when you will not feel like loving,
You simply open this gift,
Which encloses within both our hearts.
I have considered all the parts as being handed over this day.
When you become mad at me unreasonably,
I still love you for I have offered that portion of your heart back
When you do not care to look at me, turn your face away from me,
I can only think that you are hiding your heart I now give you.
When you close your eyes not looking,
I will dream of chasing your child-ful angelic image.
When you purk lips to scold at me,
I just see the most perfect illustration of your innocent pure unselfish love.
When you scream for my name in anger,
I am only allowed myself to remember so vividly how you now whisper my name.
When you push my hands away in disgust,
I will extend my arm longer to catch your shadow.
If you ever walk away from me for a day or two without saying goodbye,
I simply run ahead of you in tears saying adieu, for I am not afraid to cry;
And lying to you by saying in French it means 'I always love you';
And trying to get the heart I hand this day to you back.
I solemnly promise, I always love you
with both of our hearts
until death stops one heartbeat.

I love you, my love
