Reminiscence-2 Poem by DEEPAK KUMAR PATTANAYAK

Reminiscence-2

Rating: 5.0

The wind was blowing;
Through the trees,
Singing songs of,
Quiet evening beats,
The day folded his wings,
To rest in thy evening,
Melodies sounded
A bit rushing and crashing,
The sun was setting,
And the world was still,
While zephyr wandering
In evening’s silent tide,
Sounded like a lover’s sigh,
And memories of our love
Rising above sunset sky,
Your words linger in memory,
And in a sweet, sad tone you say,
You come for memory’s sake,
And your absence, is it a break?
Warmth gives way to night,
Now our passion dimmed to fading light,
Hearts once glowing like sun,
Now sinking to the sea,
All emotions and beams gone,
I am parched now,
And I am reeling
With the wine of you,
Every night brings in,
The same cold memory,
And cold crimson sky,
That breathes out you and you only.......
