Holding steady
Wait a minute
Take a breath
Close your eyes
And reminisce-

The first and last
'first kiss'
The smiling moments
The glazed over eyes
The deepest
'I love you's
The first drags
The last hits
The very first time
The roses and roadkill
The pathetic pretending
The obviously fake smiles
The last beat down
The biggest bear hugs
The mumbled
'I'm sorry's
The ones that didn't mean it
The young child's giggle
The hopeless bloodshed
The best drug
The deepest passion
The most amazing love-

Now end it all
