Remembrance Day 2012 Poem by Yogi Sally Ann Slight

Remembrance Day 2012

Hero's today,
don't go to war,
they stop the enemy,
at the door,
they stand before others and say,
'NO'
when they try to control the show.

We are a team,
and only the I,
is the God,
watching from the sky.

Todd Beamer,
an ordinary guy,
said the Lords Prayer,
and prepared to die.
For close to God,
flying in the sky,
Flight 93 (Sept 11 2001)
was told to fly,
by hijackers,
to crash and burn,
those Terrorists will never learn.

(((Oh, I hope they will,
of this I pray,
that Terrorists will turn and say,
'NO' to the man,
who tells them to,
hurt another in the name of who,
ever thinks that God needs death,
so breathe in deep,
for God needs breath!)))

So, penalty, foul, assistance, Ref,
call a Hero
stop the play,
let all Gods children,
Live to say,
'NO' to every villain who,
crosses your path,
instead of YOU.
Be strong of good courage,
Deut 31: 6,
and let God use you,
and evil He'll fix.

Another Hero,
Desmond Doss,
wouldn't carry a gun,
but carried a cross,
a red one to heal,
the injured in war,
'Lord give me Strength,
to save one more'.
70 saved in war that day,
and a Medal of Honour,
came his way.

We must pray,
that we shut every door,
and bring Faith to those,
who 'Jaw not War'.
Pray for an Angel,
to whisper Love,
into the ear,
of the Iron Glove,
worn by those who threaten you,
and pray for Courage for you to do,
the work of the Lord,
and bring Peace through.

There is more worth in saying 'NO'
and Live another day to sow,
the seeds of Love,
in those who don't,
in those who can't,
in those who won't.
